Introduction
Butadiene is one of the basic petrochemical materials widely used in synthetic rubber and synthetic resin. It is an important monomer for producing SBR, cis-butadiene rubber, chlorobutadiene rubber, butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber, SBS, ABS and nylon etc.
SINOPEC has independently developed Butadiene Extraction ACN Process at the beginning of 1960s, and the technology was commercialized in 1971 in Yanshan Petrochemical Company as the first plant of ten thousand tons in China. From then on, improvement has been continuously made, many sets of butadiene extraction plants with capacity over 100 Kt/a have been designed and commissioned. The biggest capacity is 200 Kt/a.
