Introduction
The S-TDT process is developed for production of mixed xylenes and benzene through the toluene disproportionation and transalkylation of toluene and C9+ aromatics (C9+A). In particular, C9 aromatics (C9A) and C10 aromatics (C10A) from hydrotreated pyrolysis gasoline or reformate can be upgraded to high-value benzene and xylenes products.
Technical Characteristics
1. The HAT series catalysts are used in S-TDT process. With high activity, high selectivity, good operation stability and feedstock flexibility of these catalysts, S-TDT process offers clients benefits through efficiently upgrading low value heavy aromatics to high value-added target aromatics products and expanding plant capacities.
2. Lower-value C9 aromatics (C9A) can be upgraded to high-value xylenes products in transalkylation reaction. By changing toluene/C9A ratio in the aromatics feedstock, the ratio of xylene and benzene in the products can also be adjusted.
3. Up to 15.0 wt% C10A in the aromatics feedstock can be handled to effectively increase the production of xylene.
4. Using large axial-flow fixed-bed reactor, the patented gas distributor and gas collector, the resulting good distribution of reactants can ensure the best catalysts’ performance.
5. Heat exchanger with high efficiency welded plate is used for inlet/outlet heat exchange in the reactor so the heat of reaction products can be fully recovered.
6.Heat integration technology is adopted to reduce energy consumption.
