Introduction
RHC-U Hydrocracking Technology developed by SINOPEC can be applied in the production of unconverted oil, which is adapted for producing more ethylene cracking feedstock or lubricant base oil feedstock with good quality. The feedstock of RHC-U can be VGO or mixture of VGO and CGO. RHC-U can not only achieve maximum production of high quality unconverted oil, but also partially produce naphtha, jet fuel and diesel at the same time.
Two types of main catalysts are used for the RHC-U technology. One is hydrofining catalyst with good de-nitrification and aromatics saturation performance, the other is hydrocracking catalyst with high selective ring-opening activity. High yield unconverted oil with high content of alkane, low BMCI value and high viscosity index can be obtained as feedstocks for the ethylene cracking, lubricant base oil or catalytic cracking.
Technical Characteristics
1. Operation Flexibility
According to different feedstocks and product schemes, optimized parameters can be chosen to obtain different yields of unconverted oil. Meanwhile, maximum yield of naphtha or middle distillate can be realized when demand for unconverted oil is decreased.
2. Feedstock Adaptability
VGOs from most paraffin base, intermediate base and intermediate-naphthenic base crudes can be processed. Some coker gas oil (CGO) mixed with VGOs can also be processed, thus the technology presents good feedstock adaptability.
3. Product Specifications
RHC-U presents notable advantages in producing high quality unconverted oil with high paraffin content, low BMCI value and high viscosity index, meanwhile producing good naphtha with high potential aromatics or middle distillates.
The technology also enables low gas yield, especially dry gas yield. Furthermore, low H2 consumption can be realized under the same conversion and product quality requirement.
