SINOPEC single-stage in series hydrocracking technology is used to convert a wide variety of heavy feedstocks including VGO or the blends of VGO, CGO and DAO into low molecular weight products for petrochemical applications.
This technology can be divided into three process configurations: FMN for maximum heavy naphtha used as catalytic reformer feedstock, FMC1 for maximum tail oil as ethylene plant feed and RHC-C for more naphtha or naphtha plus tail oil. These processes produce high quality jet fuel or diesel. Two reactors in series are used for this technology, the first one is loaded with hydrotreating catalyst and the second is loaded with hydrocracking catalyst. According to the process objectives, the once-through mode (FMC1) or some products (fractions higher than naphtha or tail oil) partially or fully being recycled mode (FMN or RHC-C) can be applied.
